After the recent Texas flooding and devastation BIS Consulting was contacted by area disaster personnel; Aaron Kreag and the GIS team collaborated on GIS solutions to help coordinate and facilitate search and rescue efforts. BIS voluntarily provided unlimited access to data and ESRI map services for consumption in applications and maps used during the recovery operation. Recognizing a gap and need in our state, BIS is planning an expansion of our involvement in domestic humanitarian and public safety initiatives.
NEW GUIDELINES FOR DISPLAYING TAXPAYER INFORMATION ON YOUR WEBSITE
House Bill 394 was signed by the governor in June, therefore, starting September 1, 2015 tax appraisal records online can no longer reflect the age of the taxpayer in any way.
No worries…if you are a BIS client we’ve got you covered. In order to comply we are currently working to remove the Over 65 exemption from the Online Property Search and we’ll have it in place before September 1st.
GIS Maintenance customers are now able to obtain County Map Books from the GIS/Mapping team at BIS. Emails with links and instructions were recently sent. If you did not get one, have any questions or would like to make some suggestions please send us an email at GISsupport@bisconsultants.com If you have a custom map request we can help with those too, please get in touch!
